Lord Nelson, Nottingham

Starfish worked alongside Tuntum Housing Association, in order to deliver 17 new bungalows in Bulwell, Nottingham to cater for the local housing need.

Starfish Group was commissioned by Tuntum Housing Association as a part of the Blue Skies Consortium to build 17 new homes in the footprint of a former public house.

• To build 17 new bungalows to tackle the local housing need.
• To build sustainable timber frame properties with a brick outer skin for a lower embodied energy housing solution.
• To plant a time capsule with a local primary school to generate community engagement for the former problem spot.

• 17 new bungalows of one and two beds completed to budget for affordable rent were successfully handed over.
• Effective and efficient utilisation of disused space to provide for local housing need.
• Engagement of local people to promote safe construction sites and sustainable housing.
